Colour your world with music! What song do you want people to hear when they call you? Express yourself, your personality, through your taste in music! Traditionally, your caller should hear the usual long beep or ‘ring-ring’ sound before you answer your phone. However, the Tigo Ringback Tone service makes it different. If you are a Ringback Tone subscriber, your callers on the other side will hear a selected song ordered by you, instead of the boring beep or ‘ring-ring.
How Does It Work?
There are 4 main methods of subscribing to the Tigo Ringback Tone service:

Ringback Tones via SMS
- To activate Ringback Tones via SMS, send AC 555.
- To deactivate Ringback Tones via SMS, send DE to 555.
- To download a song via SMS, one could use the Tigo Ringback Tone Jukebox. The Jukebox has a playlist of the latest songs with letters of the alphabet assigned to each song, e.g. A = Dance To Music by Artiste XXX, B = Love You by Artiste YYY, C = Happy by Artiste ZZZ. Simply text the corresponding letter of the song you want to 556, e.g. C to 556, and the song will be downloaded to you as your Ringback Tone. Ringback Tones via IVR
- To subscribe or unsubscribe to Ringback Tones via IVR, simply dial 855 and follow the instructions. Dialing 855 will charge you a one-time rate of GH¢0.039 per session, no matter how long the session lasts.
Ringback Tone via Star (*) Copy
- Next time you call a friend on Tigo and you like his/her Ringback Tone, simply press Star(*) as soon as you hear the Ringback Tone and it will be copied to your library!
- You can also download via Star (*) Copy using the Ringback Tone Express Shortcodes 501, 502, 503, 504, 505 and 506. When you call any of these shortcodes, you can listen to popular music chart hits. Simply press Star(*) on your phone whiles listening to download the song to your Ringback Tone library.
Ringback Tones via Webpage
Visit http://colourring.tigo.com.gh:8080/user and register as a user. Your password will be sent to your phone as SMS. Once you log in, you can search for songs and download them to your library. You can also manage existing songs, set rules for how they play and even which callers they play for.
Ring Back Tone for Postpaid Customers
- Tigo postpaid customers will be able to sign up or register for the Ringback Tone service by SMS, IVR, Internet or the Customer Service Centre.
- To unsubscribe, the postpaid subscriber can call the Customer Service on 840.
- The subscriber, after registration, can download as many as 21 songs of his/her choice into the Ringback Tone library.
- Postpaid customers will get their monthly bill with charges for Ringback Tone included.
